Berko İlaç Signs Major Partnership

Berko İlaç Takes Important Step in Sector-University Collaboration Berko İlaç continues to contribute to the healthcare sector through new partnerships. Under the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Research Universities Support Program, a protocol was signed between Berko İlaç and the project titled "Efficient and Novel Synthesis Methods for Remifentanil and Fentanil Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Their Derivatives." Berko İlaç General Manager Pharm. Barış Özyurtlu visited Atatürk University as a guest of Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı to sign a protocol in the field of sector-university collaboration. Under the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Research Universities Support Program, protocols were signed with Berko İlaç, May Pharma and Altobio İlaç for the project titled "Efficient and Novel Synthesis Methods for Remifentanil and Fentanil Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients and Their Derivatives," which is conducted by Associate Prof. Dr. Bilal Nişancı. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşe Bayrakçeken Yurtcan, Berko İlaç General Manager Pharm. Barış Özyurtlu, May Pharma Board of Directors Chairman Mücahit Yinanç and Project Coordinator Mahmut Esat Yinanç, Altobio İlaç General Manager Ahmet Altuğ Oğuz, and Faculty Members Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu and Associate Prof. Dr. Serdar Burmaoğlu from the Clinical Research Vaccines and Pharmaceuticals Coordination office attended the signing ceremony. Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that this protocol signed with pharmaceutical companies is significant in terms of university-sector collaboration and said that Atatürk University will continue to be closely integrated with the sector through various projects and partnerships. Regarding the signed protocol, Berko İlaç General Manager Pharm. Barış Özyurtlu said: "As Berko İlaç, we continue to work together with all sector stakeholders with the aim of contributing increasingly to the healthcare sector each day. We believe that one of the most important ways to contribute to science is university-industry collaboration. I wish this protocol to bring benefits to all members of the healthcare community."
