Bayer Consumer Health, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, completed teacher trainings as part of the 365 Days Health in Recess Project. The project, which enters the world of children through specially designed play areas aimed at increasing their health knowledge, enables them to learn the requirements of healthy living in an enjoyable way. Bayer Consumer Health, which works to increase preventive health habits and raise the rate of health literacy in society, has completed teacher trainings implemented under the 365 Days Health in Recess project launched in previous years with the Directorate General of Primary Education of the Ministry of National Education. Believing that when the rate of health literacy in society increases, individuals will take the right steps to protect their health and receive preventive health services, Bayer Consumer Health took action to reach children, the future of society and the most important part of creating this awareness. For this purpose, school yards in 10 cities across Turkey and 77 schools were painted with educational games to enable children to learn while playing. Children were provided with access to basic health information in an entertaining way.

Following the painting of the schools, teachers in these schools participated in a 5-day "Learning Through Play Design Trainer Training" through Örav's distance education platform eKampüs. In this special training module featuring synchronous (live) and asynchronous (non-live) content and activities in a cohesive manner, 150 teachers who completed a 40-hour program on learning through play to reinforce effective and lasting learning became entitled to receive a Ministry of National Education certificate of achievement. With the educational games drawn in school yards, children will now both reinforce the information they learned at school and increase their health knowledge while having fun.

Bayer Consumer Health Country Manager Erdem Kumcu, in a statement regarding the matter, said "When we set out on this path 2 years ago with our 365 Days Health in Recess Project, we began our work with the aim of positively impacting the rate of health literacy in society. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic affecting the entire world, all our norms changed overnight. Currently, students continue their education at computers. This process is new and challenging for teachers as much as it is for students. In this direction, we also made some changes to our project and transferred certain activities to digital platforms. We continue to reach our teachers through these channels, continue our project, and we are excitedly continuing to spread our project to reach more of our children." he said.
