Successful Women Come Together \ "Our Work is Health, Our Strength is Women" Panel Brought Successful Women Together With the unconditional support of Johnson & Johnson's Janssen Turkey Pharmaceutical Group, Consumer Group, Eye Health Group and MedTech Medical Device Group companies, and hosted by Turkey Clinics, the "Our Work is Health, Our Strength is Women" panel was held on 28 March 2022. The panel, which aimed to draw attention to the importance of gender equality in the healthcare sector and to create motivation by highlighting successful women, was broadcast on 28 March 2022 via Turkey Clinics TV under the moderation of Oylum Talu. Demet Russ, General Manager of Janssen Turkey, also made remarks at the panel where successful women came together. Panel Emphasized the Importance of Women's Participation in Working Life The panel, which discussed the past and present of gender equality in the healthcare sector and debated what is needed for a more equal future, was watched online by more than three thousand people, including healthcare sector employees and university students studying medicine. Janssen Turkey General Manager Demet Russ also made remarks at the panel. In addition to Janssen Turkey General Manager Demet Russ, expert physicians Assoc. Prof. Dr. Başak Bostancı, Dr. Dt. Deniz Çelakıl, Prof. Dr. Feza Yarbuğ Karakayalı and Prof. Dr. Zeynep Pınar Önen also participated as speakers. The panelists shared success stories that inspired them in their careers and lives, and moments when they said "I'm glad I'm a physician." The panelists also emphasized in their remarks the impact of sustainable women employment in healthcare and the importance of women's active participation in working life from a societal benefit perspective. "Among Our Top Priorities" Speaking at the panel, Janssen Turkey General Manager Demet Russ discussed the importance of the richness offered by different perspectives and visions, and stated, "This is something that comes from Johnson & Johnson's roots. "Together We Will Create a Future Where Gender Roles Are Not Obstacles Before Us" Russ, also emphasizing the importance of taking a common stance and breaking conventional thinking to achieve gender equality in different sectors and fields, stated: "At some point in history, an error was made and unfortunately this error has accumulated and been passed down from generation to generation, becoming a kind of convention. We may not be able to change the mistakes made in the past, but we can change today. Together we will create a future where gender equality is achieved and gender roles are not obstacles before us." In the final part of the panel, the speakers offered advice to students and young colleagues on their careers.
