Bee and Honey Workshop Held

A Bee and Honey Workshop was held in cooperation between Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MİTSO) and Muğla Beekeepers Association (MAYBİR). The Bee and Honey Workshop was held in the MİTSO Meeting Hall, with Prof. Dr. Halil Yeninar, Faculty Member at the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Duru, Faculty Member at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, as speakers. Following his presentation on "Climate Change and Sustainable Beekeeping," Prof. Dr. Halil Yeninar from the Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, answered questions and emphasized that crystallized honey should not be reheated, stating: "When honey is heated, it dies and becomes sugar syrup. Since pine honey has different content, we do not see the crystallization seen in regular honey."
