Amgen Türkiye and Gensenta Support Children of Healthcare Workers

Amgen Turkey and Gensenta employees took steps through the "Amgen, By the Side of Healthcare Professionals!" initiative to provide educational support for the children of healthcare professionals who worked for public health while facing numerous challenges during the pandemic. Under the leadership of "Conscientious Hearts," a group formed by Amgen Turkey and Gensenta employees, support measures began in February in cooperation with the Turkish Education Foundation, with contributions to the education fund continuing until the end of March.   Biotechnology company Amgen Turkey and Gensenta worked together with the Turkish Education Foundation for two months to contribute to the education of healthcare professionals' children. Noting that this year they wanted to offer a meaningful tribute to healthcare professionals who have worked with dedication for public health on 14 March Physicians' Day, Güldem Berkman, General Manager of Amgen and Gensenta, stated: "Through our 'Amgen, By the Side of Healthcare Professionals!' initiative launched with the 'Amgen and Gensenta Conscientious Hearts Scholarship Fund' created within the Turkish Education Foundation, we took steps for the education of our healthcare professionals' children and contributed to the education fund we created through individual donations. What we can do for the education of our healthcare workers' children is very valuable. In this direction, the support measures we started in February under the leadership of our 'Conscientious Hearts' team continued until the end of March. We are pleased to have contributed to the one-year education of 8 of our students," he said. Within the scope of corporate citizenship, alongside the science education-focused 'Amgen Biotechnology Experience, Amgen Teach and Amgen Scholars' programs conducted together with the Amgen Foundation and the 'WE2 Extraordinary Women Leaders' project inspired by gender equality, the 'Amgen, By the Side of Healthcare Professionals!' initiative, which is one of the works carried out in disease awareness and healthcare, Amgen Turkey and Gensenta employees contribute to the education of healthcare workers' children through their individual donations, while aiming to raise awareness through social media sharing.
