Abdi İbrahim Medical Director Issues World Heart Day Call
Abdi İbrahim Medical Directorate is drawing attention to the importance of protecting heart health during the COVID-19 pandemic period, ahead of 29 September World Heart Day. Coronavirus can progress more seriously, and at times fatally, in individuals with cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension or coronary artery disease.
Abdi İbrahim Medical Directorate emphasizes that at least 80 percent of early deaths from heart disease and stroke can be prevented through controlling major risk factors such as lack of physical activity, excessive salt consumption and unhealthy diet.
Pointing to the importance of all individuals in society taking action for a better, longer and healthier life, Abdi İbrahim Medical Directorate underscores that exercise and healthy nutrition are of vital importance. It is emphasized that healthy lifestyle awareness should be adopted at an early age, and encouraging children to be more active is important in protecting public health.
