Yayla Agro Provides Meaningful Support to Women

For 38 years, Yayla Agro has been producing for Turkey, supporting women's labor in their journeys toward economic freedom and including them in the value chain from farm to table. Adopting gender equality as company policy, the brand will launch the "Support for Women Producers" project on International Women's Day, 8 March, transforming women in disadvantaged positions' manual labor into income sources to contribute to their economic independence. Standing alongside women dedicated to creating value through their labor, Yayla Agro is implementing the "Support for Women Producers" project through a valuable partnership with Birleşmiş Kadınlar Üretim ve İşletme Kooperatifi (BİKA) and Leap Natural. Under the project, legume packages and kitchen aprons handcrafted by women producing under affiliated cooperatives will be used as promotional materials. Proceeding from the view that women's cooperatives undertake an important mission, Yayla Agro supports women producers through this project while simultaneously supporting cooperatives, which play a significant role in economic and social development.
