"At Ülker, we work continuously with a zero-waste company model to both leave a livable world for future generations and ensure the sustainability of our business. While carrying out our sustainability activities with long-term targets we set in 2014, we have been included in the Borsa Istanbul Sustainability Index since 2015, and in the global sustainability index FTSE4Good Emerging Markets Index since 2016. The fact that our sustainability efforts are recognized on both national and international platforms demonstrates that we are on the right track." Buyurgan, noting that sustainability efforts are shaped to include all stakeholders from the soil onwards, encompassing producers, suppliers, business partners and consumers, stated: "We develop projects in line with our targets, primarily including water and energy savings, waste reduction, food preservation, human resources, sustainable raw material procurement and production quality. We base our work on the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. At every stage of our activities, we aim for sustainable growth without wasting resources. On the other hand, as has been the case until now, we will continue to add value to our country through our production, investments, employment and exports."Advertisement
