In his remarks, TÜGİS Board Chair Kaan Sidar stated that TÜGİS takes on a role that listens to stakeholders in working life and prioritises dialogue, noting that they serve this purpose through their webinar series. Sidar, who says that women's participation in the workforce has a multiplier effect on the growth of national economies, stated: "If our food industry has today reached a level where it can export to almost every country in the world, the role of our workers who contribute labour to production in this development is very significant. Our Turkish food industry is a sector with high female employment, and the labour of working women deserves to be appreciated. In this context, together with Tuba Koruç, Chair of the Women's Committee of Öz-Gıda Union, which is organised in many companies and stands out in terms of membership numbers, we will discuss women's work-life balance, the challenges and expectations facing producing women, and as always, we will develop our understanding through mutual dialogue," he explained.   About TÜGİS, one of the country's first employers' associations, is also a founding member of the Confederation of Turkish Employers' Associations (TİSK). With leading food producers of the country among its members, TÜGİS has undertaken pioneering work for over half a century for the development of the Turkish food industry and the increase of its competitive power in international markets. Since it began operations in 1961, TÜGİS has been an innovative civil society organisation contributing uninterruptedly to social dialogue, labour peace and the development of the food industry.
