Tekfen Tarım Introduces 3 New Domestic Wheat Varieties
The Agricultural Ministry's Registration Committee has approved three new winter bread wheat varieties from Tekfen Tarım. The new wheat varieties, which feature high grain yield, suitable bread-making quality and broad adaptation capability, will be made available to Turkish farmers, particularly in the Central Anatolia and Thrace regions.

Continuing its activities with this mission, Tekfen Tarım's three new winter bread wheat varieties have been registered by the Agricultural Ministry's Registration Committee. The new wheat varieties, which feature high grain yield, suitable bread-making quality and broad adaptation capability, will be made available to Turkish farmers, particularly in the Central Anatolia and Thrace regions.
The winter bread wheat varieties Tekfen 2064, Tekfen 2104 and Tekfen 2239 were evaluated on the basis of two-year field trial reports conducted by the Agricultural Ministry in the registration proceedings for the Recording of New Plant Varieties. Emrah İnce, General Director of Tekfen Tarım, stated: "At the Registration Committee where the agricultural and technological values obtained in field trials conducted over two years for each wheat variety were discussed, the varieties Tekfen 2064, Tekfen 2104 and Tekfen 2239 were evaluated separately and passed the committee unanimously, becoming registered. We wish that our newly registered wheat seed varieties will bring good fortune and abundance to Turkish agriculture and Turkish farmers."
