Agriculture Sector Achieves Record Exports

Agricultural Sector Records Export Peak Aquatic products and animal products rose 45.8%, cereals, legumes, oilseeds and products 31.8%, furniture, paper and forest products 28%, fruit and vegetable products 21.9%, fresh fruit and vegetables 17%, ornamental plants and products 14%, tobacco 11.7%, dried fruit and products 8%. Hazelnut and hazelnut products sector exports fell 8.5% in September.

Iraq Leads Agricultural Exports

Agriculture sector recorded its largest export volumes to Iraq last month. The sector exported USD 359.437 million to Iraq. In September, the agricultural sector exported USD 192.453 million to Germany, USD 145.645 million to the United States, USD 102.449 million to Russia, USD 70.938 million to the Netherlands, and USD 35.276 million to Spain. Examining agricultural export performance by province, Istanbul-based companies recorded USD 708.434 million in agricultural exports last month. During the period, Izmir exported USD 350.202 million, Gaziantep USD 333.738 million, Mersin USD 154.720 million, Antalya USD 80.750 million, and Muğla USD 50.229 million in agricultural products.
