Sütaş Wins Award Under 'Sustainable Business Awards'
Sütaş's "Farm to Table" integrated business model was recognized with an award in the "supply chain management" category under the "Sustainable Business Awards" presented by the Sustainability Academy.
Sustainability Awards, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of sustainability and given for the 10th time this year by the Sustainability Academy, were announced at a ceremony.
Sütaş, which specialized and grew in the dairy industry while adopting the "Farm to Table" integrated business model, was recognized with the Sustainable Business Award in the "supply chain management" category.
The Sustainable Business Awards ceremony, which aims to recognize and share successful sustainable business models in economic, social and environmental matters with a broad audience, was held in Istanbul on the evening of 17 October, Tuesday. At the ceremony, awards were presented in 16 separate categories ranging from energy, waste, water and supply chain management to sustainability innovation, women's empowerment and resilient community development.
Sütaş, which has focused exclusively on dairy production for 48 years, won the award in the supply chain management category with its "Farm to Table" business model, which guarantees the natural taste of its products, is based on circularity and enables it to recycle the natural resources it uses.
Sütaş Board Member and Sustainability Committee Chair Duygu Yılmaz, stating that she was proud to see the "Farm to Table" business model recognized with an award, made the following comments on the matter;
"With our four integrated facilities operating under this business model, we are present across all four corners of Turkey. We work with our "Farm to Table" business model, which enables us to manage the entire process from the feed given to the cows to the milk and dairy products that reach consumers' tables through complete supply chain integration. This model, which is based on sustainability and circularity, also allows us to best meet our consumers' expectations for natural and safe food."Shared "2022 Sustainability Progress Report" with the public
Sütaş, recognized with the Sustainable Business Award in supply chain management, shared its "2022 Sustainability Progress Report" with the public on 16 October World Food Day, with Sustainability Committee Chair Duygu Yılmaz stating: "While our world is struggling to cope with the threats posed by global warming caused by climate change and the rapid depletion of natural resources, we in the food sector have a responsibility to ensure that the growing world population has access to healthy food. We work with our "Farm to Table" business model, which we believe contributes to solving these global problems and has sustainability at its core."Advertisement
