New Term at MÜMSAD
Kitchen Products and Margarine Manufacturers Association held its 15th Ordinary General Assembly; new board chairman elected.
The Kitchen Products and Margarine Manufacturers Association held its 15th Ordinary General Assembly in Istanbul. Metin Yurdagul, who has served as chairman of the association for 15 years, took the title of honorary chairman, while a new board chairman was also elected. Food Engineer Ebru Akdağ, who has served as General Coordinator at MÜMSAD for the past 5 years, was elected to the position of board chairman.
Ebru Akdağ is MÜMSAD's New Chairman
A new management was elected to MÜMSAD, which brings together under its roof manufacturers of rapidly growing food products in recent times, such as frozen products, herbal and fruit teas, margarine, powdered foods and dried soups. At the 15th Ordinary General Assembly, Ebru Akdağ was elected as the new board chairman of the association. Ebru Akdağ, a Food Engineer, has served as General Coordinator of MÜMSAD for the past five years. Following the meeting held by the management board elected at the General Assembly, Ebru Akdağ was selected. Akdağ will serve as chairman during the 2022-2024 term. After her election, Ebru Akdağ made statements. Akdağ said: "Becoming the new chairman of MÜMSAD, which I have managed as General Coordinator for five years, and taking the torch from a veteran like Metin Yurdagul is very honoring for me. As a representative of many food categories with very different dynamics, MÜMSAD has the advantage of looking at what needs to be done in the food field from different perspectives. Food is a multi-disciplinary field, and with this awareness we advance by prioritizing both drawing on the experience of players in our own sector and joint action with stakeholders from fields such as nutrition, medicine, agriculture, and pharmacy.
