Kervan Gıda, one of Turkey's leading soft candy manufacturers, was listed among the 'World's Top 100 Candy Companies of 2022' by candyindustry.com, which annually ranks the world's largest confectionery companies. Kervan Gıda, which exports to 85 countries and ranks among Turkey's companies with the highest soft candy production capacity, entered the '2022 Global Top 100 Candy Companies' list at 82nd place, one of the most important rankings followed in the world's confectionery sector according to candyindustry.com. Kervan Gıda General Manager Burhan Başar stated that inclusion in the most prestigious ranking in their field of operation is a success not only for the company but also for Turkey, and that their next goal is to enter the top five in their category. According to the information provided, the company entered the list with USD 193 million in sales between October 2020 and September 2021, approximately 2,600 employees and six factories. Ranked 82nd overall and 6th in its category, the company achieved international success in March 2021 when it began selling Bebeto brand products to Walmart stores in Brazil and the United States, one of the world's leading retail companies.

"Going public brought success and responsibility"

Burhan Başar stated that the company has carried a passion for growth and development since its foundation, and that the public offering process completed at the end of 2020 transformed success into responsibility. Emphasizing that the most important goal of the public offering was to increase global market investments and that they achieved this goal, Başar said: "We planned to direct 55 percent of public offering revenues to global market investments, and this plan was successfully implemented. In 2021, we acquired a majority stake in ZPC Otmuchw and its subsidiary PWC Odra, leading soft candy producers in Poland. This move increased our production capacity from 72,000 tonnes to 100,000 tonnes. Not only did our production capacity increase, but our brand recognition at the global level also grew. We will continue with these and similar moves that elevated us in the world rankings, and we will continue to make our investors proud," he said.
