Kemal Kükrer Enters Vegan Market with Nine Certified Products Kemal Kükrer, following the increasingly popular vegan diet trend, has obtained vegan certification for 9 different products. The company announced plans to increase investment in vegan product production in the coming period. Kemal Kükrer has long delivered its products to tables as flavor classics, and continues to innovate and provide added-value products to consumers. The brand recently obtained Vegan Certification for products suitable for vegan consumption and has begun offering different options to vegan-conscious consumers by displaying this icon on its labels. Kemal Kükrer obtained vegan certification for its Organic Apple Vinegar, Organic Grape Vinegar, Apple Vinegars, Grape Vinegars, Yudumluk Four Thieves Vinegar, Yudumluk Sandalwood Gum Apple Vinegar, Yudumluk Apple Hawthorn Vinegar, white vinegar and Pomegranate Sour products. Ajinomoto Istanbul, the parent company of Kemal Kükrer, shared the following on the matter: "Our brand, aiming to keep pace with the demands of the era and with the vision of producing the healthiest products in line with new demands and trends, has also said 'hello' to the vegan world. As we all know, the number of people practicing vegan and vegetarian diets is increasing day by day. Vegan, or plant-based diet method, is preferred both for animal welfare sensitivity and to reduce carbon footprint, while on the other hand it is also seen as an alternative to meet the nutritional needs of the growing population. Consequently, since the food sector is a sector heavily influenced by consumer demands, it shapes its production according to rising trends and changing preferences." "The vegan market will reach USD 290 billion globally by 2035. We will expand our market share in this sector with our new products to reach all our consumers and make them happy." Ajinomoto Istanbul officials, noting that this change is clearly presented in the Proveg International report conducted by the Turkey Vegan Association's V-Label Germany Office, recalled that according to the report, the global plant-based food sector is projected to reach USD 74 billion by 2027 with an annual growth rate of 12 percent. Officials stated: "Developed countries are making significant investments in alternative plant-based proteins that will replace animal proteins such as meat, milk and cheese, as mentioned in the report. On the other hand, the market is expected to reach USD 290 billion globally by 2035. We will continue to strengthen our presence in this market and increase our market share with new products to reach more consumers and satisfy them." Ajinomoto has been conducting R&D work for over 100 years with more than 1,700 scientists, over 10 percent of whom hold doctoral degrees, to ensure complete protein intake from plant sources. In vegan diet, which is a nutrition method that does not contain animal products, individuals need to turn to various plant sources to meet their protein needs. Proteins are composed of amino acids, which are the basic building blocks for the body. Amino acids are critical for protein synthesis and body functions. There are several main reasons why amino acids are important in vegan diet: Complete Protein Intake: Foods from animal sources generally contain "complete proteins," meaning proteins that can be directly used by the body and contain all essential amino acids. However, plant sources generally contain all essential amino acids in low amounts or contain only some of them. For this reason, combining various plant sources to ensure complete protein intake is important for human health. Ajinomoto has been conducting R&D work for over 100 years with more than 1,700 scientists, over 10 percent of whom hold doctoral degrees, to ensure complete protein intake from plant sources. Focusing on research on the importance of amino acids in vegan diet, Ajinomoto develops various materials and new techniques using amino acids to enable vegans to obtain complete protein. Essential Amino Acids: The body cannot produce certain amino acids on its own and must obtain them from external sources through nutrition. These amino acids are called "essential amino acids." In vegan diet, it is important to consume different plant sources in a balanced way to obtain these essential amino acids in sufficient quantities. Construction of Tissues and Organs: Amino acids form the structure of cells, tissues, muscles and organs in the body. For this reason, adequate amino acid intake is necessary for the construction of healthy tissues and organs in the body. Enzyme and Hormone Production: Amino acids are necessary for the production of various enzymes and hormones in the body. These biochemical processes support healthy metabolism by regulating body functions. Immune System and General Health: Amino acids play a critical role in immune system functions, energy production and the operation of other important body systems. Adequate amino acid intake supports general health and well-being.
