Numerous companies continue their operations with nature-conscious and sustainable projects. In this context, Duru Bulgur has continued to gradually reduce its carbon footprint through energy investments and decided to increase capacity in the solar energy investments it launched last year. The solar energy infrastructure is planned to be raised to 5.8 megawatts by the end of 2022, which will ensure that 85% of electricity consumption is generated from solar panels. "We will reduce annual carbon emissions by 3,270 tonnes and prevent the felling of 54,000 trees" Emin Duru, Chairman of the Board of Duru Bulgur, stated that they are focusing on sustainable production processes and green transformation investments for a more livable environment. He noted that they will increase the capacity of solar power plants with 2.8 megawatts of power installed on the facility roofs to 5.8 megawatts by the end of 2022, and said: "By the end of 2022, we envisage producing 85% of our electricity consumption from solar panels. With this work to be carried out, we will prevent annual carbon emissions of 3,270 tonnes and also prevent the felling of approximately 54,000 trees. To create a better environment, we will also directly contribute to the cultivation of new trees within 10 years. We will develop sustainable production processes through green transformation."
