FMC Corporation unveiled its new strategic growth plan at an Investor Day held at its company headquarters in Philadelphia, reviewed its three-year financial targets and long-term financial expectations through 2033, and presented its outlook for 2024. The company also outlined its cost-savings targets and key elements that will enable sustainable profitable growth. FMC's strategic plan is based on three core objectives: strengthening the company's relationships with growers, ensuring they receive sound, accurate and timely guidance on the right products and technologies that best meet their needs; delivering superior growth and returns; and sustaining the company's leadership in safety, sustainability and innovation. Actions and specific plans for each objective are summarized in eight strategic imperatives. President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Douglas said, "We were pleased to host a strong attendance and tell our story of profitable growth supported by strategic imperatives." "These range from strengthening our relationships with growers to ensure they have the best guidance on deploying the right technologies to meet their needs, to growing our leading Plant Health business, accelerating the discovery and commercialization of our R&D pipeline, and increasing operational leverage leading to a leaner organization. Executing these initiatives will provide growers with more valuable tools to protect their crops while FMC achieves growth in both the top and bottom lines." New product development and commercial launches were an important Investor Day theme, with Vice President and Marketing Director Diane Allemang presenting FMC's new patented formulations, including industry-leading diamides, and combinations of existing molecules as key drivers of revenue growth. Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Dr. Seva Rostovstev provided details on the R&D pipeline, including four new active synthetic compounds expected to generate approximately USD 2 billion in revenue by 2033. New products and innovation were also major themes presented by Vice President and Global Plant Health Business Director Dr. Bénédicte Flambard, who outlined the company's plans to grow FMC's biologics platform to generate approximately USD 2 billion in revenue by 2033. Vice President and President of the Americas Ronaldo Pereira discussed how strengthening FMC's relationship as a trusted advisor to growers will help support new product introductions in the coming years. Vice President of Procurement, Logistics and Global Facilities Thaisa Hugenneyer reviewed how a flexible, agile and cost-effective supply chain will support both existing and new products over the strategic plan timeframe. Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Andrew Sandifer provided an overview of mid-term financial targets and long-term expectations, as well as expectations regarding leverage levels. Sandifer also provided an outlook for 2024. Sandifer said, "We expect 2024 to be a year of substantial cash generation, with earnings accretion and working capital release. Over the next 18 to 24 months, we expect to return to more normalized leverage levels with significant free cash flow and a new average net leverage target of approximately 2.0x adjusted EBITDA." More details about FMC's new strategic growth plan and the full FMC Investor Day presentation and transcript are available on the FMC investor website.   Source
