Impact-Focused Career Development Program Held EIT Food Türkiye Hub Foodback organized the Impact-Focused Career Development Program in the Food and Agriculture Sector, designed to enable undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, as well as graduates who are pursuing careers or wish to share their doctoral work with professionals in the sector, to learn about prominent trends in food and agriculture from industry experts. Within the scope of the program, which brought together sector representatives, food and agriculture entrepreneurs and academic professionals, and took place online throughout May, two different personalized training programs were organized for undergraduate students and PhD students. Ayşe Sabuncu, Founding Partner of Impact Hub İstanbul which gave life to the Foodback initiative, made the following remarks on the subject: "As Impact Hub İstanbul, through our Foodback collaboration and innovation platform supporting agricultural and food innovation, we serve as a bridge between entrepreneurs, institutions and universities. Our focus is on young people and we are conducting work within this scope. Today, many countries around the world are experiencing food inflation and problems. We wanted to take action to work with young people on the future food ecosystem. We believe that the Impact-Focused Career Development Program in the Food and Agriculture Sector is very valuable in terms of contributing to the education and careers of young people." Over 300 students participated

Over 300 students studying in the food and agriculture sector participated fully in the impact-focused career development program. Students gained insights into the food and agriculture sector by having the opportunity to receive training from important representatives in the industry. Students who participated fully in the program were given a participation certificate at the end. Entrepreneurs who had established their own ventures also participated by sharing their experience, providing participants with information they could use in their professional lives.

Training content delivered on various topics

Within the scope of the program, undergraduate, graduate students and graduates received training content on various topics together with important representatives in the sector. On the three days of training, participants received instruction on trends in the food and agriculture sector, networking methods, the near future of the food sector, food innovation and institutional collaborations, regenerative agriculture practices, alternative proteins and many more topics. Along with theoretical and practical knowledge that participants could use at the beginning of their careers, the program also provided areas and content where they could network with each other. PhD students came together in a networking area where they could present their research topics to sector representatives. During the PhD training held on 25-26 May, different trainings took place on the first day; on the second day, a rapid Networking Session was held with PhD students and important representatives from institutions in the sector including Coca-Cola Company, Pınar Gıda Group, Yaşar University, and Izmir Agricultural Technologies Innovation Center.
