E20 Investment Acquires 70% Stake in Lucky Fish

International investment firm E20 Investment acquired a majority stake in Lucky Fish, a leading European producer of high-value-added sea bass and sea bream, from Mediterra Capital.

E20 Investment, a UAE-based international investment firm, became the majority shareholder by acquiring a 70% stake in Lucky Fish, Europe's leading vertically integrated sea bass and sea bream producer. In the share sale, Dora Capital provided advisory services to Mediterra Capital, while Ardent Advisory provided consulting services to E20 Investment. Kolcuoğlu Demirkan Koçaklı Law Office and KP Law provided legal counsel for the transaction. Sultan al-Jaberi, Chief Executive Officer of E20 Investment Group, stated that following the acquisition, they will focus on strengthening and growing Lucky Fish's position in international markets.

Murat Erkut, Founding Partner of Mediterra Capital, expressed his enthusiasm about entering into a strategic partnership with E20 Investment and continued as follows:

'Lucky Fish, one of the market's key players and Turkey's largest producer of high-value-added, vertically integrated sea bass and sea bream, will write new success stories through this transaction. In the new period, the company's investment projection will gain momentum. Beyond capacity expansion, steps will be taken to increase competitive strength in strategic markets. We believe this will lead to positive developments for both parties.' Founded in 1986, Lucky Fish is a leading European producer of high-value-added, vertically integrated sea bass and sea bream. The company's operations span the entire value chain, from open-sea fish farming to feed production and the manufacture of value-added fish products. Lucky Fish exports value-added products prepared at its integrated facilities to the United Kingdom and European Union countries. The company's export sales account for 97% of revenues. Mediterra Capital had acquired 100% of Lucky Fish in 2013.
