Balparmak Wins Two Separate Awards

Balparmak won 2 separate awards in the Honey and Food Supplement categories at the Stars of Food Awards, with votes from over 40,000 Yıldız Technical University students. Organized by Yıldız Technical University Food and Healthy Nutrition Club, the "Climate Change and Sustainability Summit" brought together industry-leading food companies across 36 categories. The event took place on 14 December at Yıldız Technical University Davutpaşa Campus Congress Center, with Balparmak as platinum sponsor. At the summit, where sector professionals shared insights on future challenges facing the world and proposed solutions, Balparmak Marketing Director Didem Doğan presented information on Balparmak's sustainability projects. On the second day of the organization, the Stars of Food Awards ceremony took place. The winners of the Stars of Food Awards, determined by one month of voting by over 40,000 students at Yıldız Technical University, were announced. Balparmak was deemed worthy of the Stars of Food Award in two separate categories: the "Honey" category with the Balparmak brand and the "Food Supplement" category with the Apitera brand.  

Balparmak Board Chairman Özen Altıparmak made the following comments on the matter:

"Since our founding, we at Balparmak have carefully selected honey from our beekeepers and brought these natural products to our consumers' tables with food safety and hygiene standards. We also work to benefit the world with the responsibility of being an industry leader. Through sustainable corporate social responsibility projects we have developed, we strive to protect the future of honey, bees and the beekeeping profession, and to raise awareness in society about bees' contributions to nature, our lives and our world. We view such meaningful awards as a fine recognition of our sincere efforts. The positive motivation that comes from being chosen by young people is difficult to express. We thank all students of Yıldız Technical University who voted for us in this important survey, which recognizes us as worthy of the Stars of Food Award and shapes the sector's direction."     Balparmak stands out through the quality standards it provides to its consumers, taking a leadership position in the sector in this regard. Working according to international standards on food safety, Balparmak holds certifications in international food safety systems such as FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) and BRCGS (British Retail Consortium Global Standards). Balparmak, which has Turkey's first R&D Center in honey and other bee products and the 8th in the food sector, analyzes products provided to consumers across at least 100 parameters thanks to its Honey and Other Bee Products Research and Quality Control Laboratory accredited by TÜRKAK.
