Sapro Turns to Vegan Products
Sapro, which is advancing toward becoming a brand that integrates sustainability strategy into business strategy and aims to generate social and environmental values alongside economic values, continues to contribute to sustainability while increasing consumer comfort through environment-friendly products.
Sapro Temizlik Ürünleri General Manager Murat Gönül, emphasizing that product contents are designed in line with European Union standards as 100% vegan and 100% recyclable packaging options, also commented on the recent demand for vegan products.
Climate crisis and efforts to combat it, which are among the world's most important agenda items, have also affected the cosmetics sector. Conscious consumers, who are much more sensitive about product contents, have turned to vegan products in terms of animal rights and freedom.
"Purchasing vegan cosmetic products is extremely important for our personal health, the lives of animals, and our environment," said Sapro Temizlik Ürünleri General Manager Murat Gönül. He added, "A product being vegan means that no animal-derived or indirectly animal-sourced ingredients are contained in the product's formula and the product has not been tested on animals."
Reached USD 15.87 billion in 2021
Noting that vegan products are preferred by many people due to their environment-friendly features, Gönül continued: "According to research conducted, the global vegan cosmetics market, which reached USD 15.87 billion in 2021, is expected to rise to USD 24.79 billion by 2028. With consumers adopting a conscious shopping model, the vegan cosmetics market is projected to grow at an average rate of 6.57% annually, and a wide consumer community in our country is also beginning to seek sustainable and vegan products."100% vegan content
Emphasizing that every vegan product carries a cruelty-free characteristic, Gönül noted that using animals in product testing phases contradicts veganism and continued: "Every vegan product is cruelty-free; however, not every cruelty-free product may be vegan. Even if not used in the testing phase, animal-derived substances may be present in product contents. As the Sapro family, which considers sustainability strategy in all processes ranging from product development to production and packaging, we offer 100% vegan content in all product formulations within our organization, and none of our products contain any animal-derived components."We certify with international "Vegan Certification"
Noting that plant-based ingredients such as aloe vera, chamomile extract, essential oils, and olive oil are included in solutions in terms of skin health and sustainability, Gönül stated, "Formulations developed meticulously by our R&D department are tested in our laboratory, which holds ISO 17025 Laboratory Accreditation Certificate, and are monitored through voluntary user tests. This allows us to have more information about products whose effects are monitored directly on humans. As one of the world's leading manufacturers in private label wet wipe production, in products where we carry out PL production, in accordance with brand requirements, we certify our products with Vegan Certification issued by authorized international institutions," he explained.Advertisement
