Kalekim Introduces New Grout, Fugaprotech 2940

Kalekim introduced its new grout product 2940 Fugaprotech. Developed by Kalekim using proprietary technology, Fugaprotech delivers superior performance in spaces requiring high-temperature and mechanical load resistance. Kalekim added 2940 Fugaprotech to its cement-based grout family in ceramic application solutions. The cement-based, polymer-modified, silicone grout product Fugaprotech provides ease of use to applicators and end-users thanks to its superior performance in industrial areas subject to heavy traffic and requiring mechanical and chemical cleaning, as well as its long service life.

Delivers High Durability on Demanding Surfaces

Developed by Kalekim using advanced technology to withstand temperatures reaching 250°C and water pressure, Fugaprotech delivers high performance on surfaces through its resistance to thermal variations, water-impermeable formulation and bond strength in grout joints. Fugaprotech is used in continuously high-temperature wet areas such as spas, baths and saunas, as well as in swimming pools and water tanks cleaned with pressurized water, thanks to its high wear-resistance performance. It is applied to grout joints of 1–6 mm in width in horizontal and vertical surfaces in interior and exterior spaces, for covering materials such as pool ceramic, granite, cotto, clinker, glass mosaic, marble and porcelain. With its specially designed technology, Fugaprotech provides resistance to pool and cleaning chemicals, does not crack and is resistant to wear. The product is available in white, grey and Cappadocia beige color options, providing a smooth appearance on surfaces while retaining its colors for many years.
