Akkim Achieves Another Sustainability Milestone Akkim has achieved another success in the field of sustainability. The company, which continues its work with high-performance objectives, has successfully completed the international Together for Sustainability (TfS) audits. Sustainability is growing in importance with each passing year. Particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic, organisations began seeking ways to achieve more effective sustainability performance. Akkim, participating with all its facilities in Together for Sustainability (TfS) audit processes, demonstrated 96 percent compliance and elevated its sustainability performance to the next level.

Meanwhile, Akkim's "Sustainability is in Our Chemistry" motto, which was also recognized by the Global Reporting Initiative, resulted in the publication of the "Sustainability Report" for the years 2018-2019.

TfS, an audit framework recognized at the global level, provides business sustainability ratings for the chemical sector. The organization, established in 2011, aims to provide transparency regarding sustainability performance and contribute to the improvement of environmental and social conditions throughout the value chain of the chemical industry. TfS, which has 26 member organizations, bases its assessment methodology on interpreting sustainability principles according to corporate sustainability criteria. These criteria are determined by the United Nations Global Compact, Responsible Care, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Convention, Global Reporting Initiative Standards, ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Standard, the Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies (CERES) Roadmap, and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. TfS, which evaluates the integration of companies' business and management systems in this area, takes into account the headings of management, environment-health, safety-labour and human rights-governance.
