Yorglass Crowns Its Success

Yorglass Crowned with Success Yorglass, the global and reliable supplier to the glass sector, crowned its achievements this year by joining the export champions. Yorglass ranked second in the flat glass sector under the Champions of Exports Awards determined by the Cement, Glass, Ceramic and Clay Products Exporters Association (ÇCSİB). The 4th Champions of Exports Awards Ceremony, organized by the Cement, Glass, Ceramic and Clay Products Exporters Association (ÇCSİB), which brings together exporting companies in the ceramic, cement and glass sectors, was held with the participation of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman Mustafa Gültepe and ÇCSİB Chairman Erdem Çenesiz. At the ceremony, Yorglass, which has been operating in flat glass trading and industrial glass processing for 48 years in Turkey, received the second-place award in the flat glass sector in the export leaders ranking. Speaking at the ceremony, regarded as the most prestigious award in its field, Yorglass CFO Uğur Şeker emphasized that as a company that reads market changes correctly and takes swift action, they will raise their export targets even higher.

Uğur Şeker, noting that with 48 years of experience and correct strategies they have maintained their export success even during challenging times, continued as follows:

"As Yorglass, when we look at our export performance excluding raw material producers, we can confidently say we have succeeded in exports. Currently, with more than 150 different types of glass and suppliers from over 70 countries worldwide, we continue our operations across a wide geography and work with global business partners. As a company exporting to more than 60 countries across 6 continents, we increased our export rate to 48% in 2022. Particularly in recent periods, we have significantly increased our market share in Europe. Although rising logistics costs in export markets pose a risk for companies with high export rates like ours, with the right strategies we achieved total export figures of USD 77 million in 2022. Our goal for 2023 is to produce more, evaluate new opportunities in potential markets and transform Turkey into a production hub for the glass sector. We believe that thanks to Yorglass's fast and agile structure, we will achieve this by offering innovative products to our customers."
