New Generation Inorganic Pigment Dispersant: Additol XL 6577®
Additol XL 6577 is a mid-molecular weight next-generation dispersant for use in all solvent-based, high-solids, ultra-high-solids and 100% solids coating and ink systems.
The high-efficiency anionic "mono-synapse" anchoring function is bound by a specialized polyester chain and creates inter-particle spacing that will provide high efficiency. The newly designed molecular structure is highly reactive and therefore Additol XL 6577 bonds rapidly to all inorganic surfaces; providing better anti-caking and anti-settling performance.

Additol XL 6577 is the latest addition to Allnex's globally recognized pigment dispersant series. It was developed to be one of the most efficient dispersants on the market.
• During the development process, numerous benchmark studies were conducted and it was found that Additol XL 6577 achieved the highest efficiency level when used to disperse inorganic pigments in solvent-based formulations and also enabled additional pigment loading for both direct grinding and production of pigment bases.
• Additol XL 6577 enables optimized use of expensive pigments at the highest level.

In a standard white 2K acrylic monocoat, when Additol XL 6577 is used, at constant spray viscosity versus systems created with different dispersants, it provides a 5% solids increase versus a standard equivalent and 2% versus a premium equivalent.
