Weber Takes Important Steps for Environment and Occupational Health
Saint-Gobain Weber, with the goal of creating sustainable living spaces, reflects international R&D experience and local expertise not only in its construction materials production but also in environmental and occupational health and safety initiatives through innovative solutions.
Saint-Gobain Weber Turkey continues its efforts to demonstrate the best performance in environmental, occupational health and safety matters. The Gebze plant achieved membership in the "Saint-Gobain Millionaires Club," which brings together high-performing ÇİSG companies within the Saint-Gobain Group.
Weber's Gebze plant in Turkey, which achieved zero work accidents per hours worked annually and qualified for club membership, became Turkey's second plant to join the club after the Ankara facility, and ranks as one of 267 international members of this club.
The membership of Weber's two Turkish plants in the SG Millionaires Club, which only includes companies demonstrating the best environmental, occupational health and safety performance within the Saint-Gobain Group, breaks the taboo that achieving zero work accidents in this region is impossible, demonstrating that this goal can be reached through company infrastructure and teamwork.
Saint-Gobain Weber, global leader in industrial mortar production, targets full membership of all its plants in this club within the next five years.
Continuing to bring innovations to the construction sector with advanced solutions addressing high technical requirements, Weber has been operating in Turkey since 1998. Weber maintains an extensive product portfolio including ceramic adhesives and grouts, external facade and thermal insulation, technical products, floor applications and interior paints, and operates 6 plants, 8 regional management offices and an extensive distribution network in Turkey.
