Success of Turkish Architect in Berlin

TURKISH ARCHITECT'S THOUSAND SQUARE METER ARTWORK IN BERLIN MAKES HEADLINES IN GERMAN PRESS. Architect Nisa Akar, founder of Niss Project, transformed a thousand square meter home in Berlin, Germany into a work of art. Nisa Akar noted that she met the project owners through fashion designer Hakan Akkaya. She stated that the thousand square meter residence located on Grunewald, Berlin's most beautiful street, reflected her taste in every detail, from its interior and exterior architecture to kitchen appliances, seating arrangements, lighting, and wall art. "I selected special pieces from Italy and Spain, but since the owners wanted to reflect Turkish spirit in particular, we took care to use domestic production," she said, adding: "The unconditional trust of the project owners motivated me so much that now passersby stop their cars and photograph the building. Newspapers have covered the story. This has been a great source of pride for me."  

TOUCHES BY İSMAİL ACAR IN THE PROJECT

  At the entrance and in the living room are three kaftans designed with Turkish motifs by Turkish painter, installation artist and illustrator İsmail Acar, while two other paintings bear the names Istanbul and Berlin. Alongside works created specifically for this home, the decoration features pomegranate motifs in Turkish ornamental art—symbols of abundance, prosperity and indivisible unity.
