Teknos Invests in New Modern Facility in Germany
Teknos, a global manufacturer of coating systems, is strengthening its presence in Germany. The company will establish a new factory in Steinau an der Straße that will serve as a reference point for innovation, technology, sustainability and growth for the industry and Teknos across Europe. Paula Salastie, owner and CEO of the company, said: "Germany is an important market for the global Teknos Group. The construction of a new, modern production facility and site gives us all the opportunities to create a sustainable future and feeds our innovation."
Thomas Palm, Managing Director of Teknos Germany, added: "Together with its employees, customers and suppliers, Teknos can further develop its portfolio, work more efficiently and respond faster and with greater flexibility to market needs. Demands are changing, and topics like sustainability are becoming increasingly important. In the planned new building, we can systematically expand our capabilities and optimize our production capacity in the most sustainable and efficient way possible."
The project represents a strategic decision for growth over the coming decade. Salastie said: "This will enable us to offer new and exciting opportunities for future generations as an employer" and added: "With the new facility located in Central Germany, we hope to attract more talent to join Teknos, which further strengthens our company."
With the purchase agreement for the land finalized, planning and construction can now proceed. Currently, production is expected to begin within the next three years. Teknos Germany currently operates at three locations in Alzenau, Brüggen and Fulda and employs approximately 200 people.
