Sika to Acquire MBCC Group
Sika has signed a definitive agreement to acquire MBCC Group, formerly BASF Construction Chemicals, from a subsidiary of global private equity firm Lone Star Funds for EUR 5.2 billion.
This combined business will be a significant accelerator in driving the sustainable transformation of both Sika's and MBCC Group's customers further and faster.
MBCC Group has a product portfolio comprised of globally recognized international and local brands with strong reputations for quality and reliability. With its balanced product offering, MBCC Group participates in all phases of the construction lifecycle and makes a significant contribution to decarbonizing the construction sector.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval. Completion of the acquisition is targeted for the second half of 2022.
