Saint-Gobain Acquires Chryso

Saint-Gobain completes acquisition of Chryso, a global leader in construction chemicals. Chryso provides comprehensive admixture solutions for sustainable construction, helping to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of concrete. The company has approximately 1,300 employees and generates revenue of around EUR 400 million from annual sales. The enterprise value of EUR 1.02 billion represents 12.0x Chryso's EBITDA of EUR 85 million over the last 12 months and 7.6x the synergy multiple of EUR 50 million in year five on a run-rate basis. Chryso joins businesses serving the sustainable construction market in the High Performance Solutions segment. Saint-Gobain CEO Benoit Bazin said: "The acquisition of Chryso is fully aligned with our strategic vision as the world-leading company in sustainable construction, focusing on solutions that deliver sustainability and performance. Chryso significantly strengthens our presence in the growing construction chemicals market, where we have completed 11 acquisitions over the last three years and opened 18 factories across 24 countries, today generating sales exceeding EUR 3.0 billion across 66 countries."
