PPG Introduces Digital Color Matching Device for Commercial Vehicles

PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced the launch of ColorReader, a portable digital device that enables commercial vehicle sector customers to match colors quickly and accurately with the PPG DELFLEET ONE® color palette and international standard colors. ColorReader is a BLUETOOTH® connected device that operates with a dedicated application. Available for iOS and Android tablets and smartphones, the device delivers highly accurate color matching in just a few seconds. Jo Thompson, Marketing Manager for Automotive Refinish Paint Colors at PPG Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "All users need to do is download the ColorReader application, connect with their smartphone or tablet, and place the ColorReader on the painted surface to scan. ColorReader also provides a smart solution by instantly displaying the three closest colors on its built-in screen when a smartphone or tablet is not available after scanning."

PPG launched ColorReader in Europe, Middle East and Africa recently and received positive feedback from customers.
