PPG Donates Antibacterial Coating to Shanghai Tongren Hospital

PPG (NYSE: PPG) announced a donation of 290 gallons (1,100 litres) of MASTER MARK ™ antibacterial interior latex coating to Shanghai Tong Ren Hospital. The facility will use these coatings to renovate its medical laboratory, fever clinic, negative pressure isolation room, and disease control centre. PPG's Master's Mark LUXURIANT ™ and ECO TOUCH ™ interior latex coatings are capable of eliminating 99.99% of E coli and Staphylococcus. They can also eliminate 99.93% of H1N1 virus according to China National (GB) standards. Shanghai Tong Ren Hospital, also known as Tong Ren Hospital, is the second medical institution affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine and reported the first case of COVID-19 in Shanghai (Grade A). The hospital has treated approximately 5,000 COVID-19 patients during the pandemic to date. Ma Jun, Dean of Shanghai Tong Ren Hospital, said: "We are grateful to PPG for the donation of advanced coating products.
