Based on data from 3,750 mixing machines operated by Polisan Kansai Boya experts offering unlimited colour options, Polisan Kansai Boya created Turkey's colour map for 2021 based on the most preferred colours for interior and exterior facades. On interior facades, "Calm Grey", "Beach Beige" and "Marginal Grey" came to the fore, while on exterior facades "Bahama White" and "Stone Grey" were the most preferred colours, with 2021 showing a predominance of peace and longing for nature. The desire to create a peaceful and orderly environment became more pronounced in living spaces with the pandemic, resulting in many people making renovations to their homes. The effect of selected wall paint colours on the energy of spaces also stands out.

Desire for peace and order

Polisan Kansai Boya's 2021 Turkey Colour Map, which for many years has revealed colour preferences by geographic region through its data, shows that last year "Beach Beige, Calm Grey and Marginal Grey" were the most preferred colours on interior facades, while "Bahama White and Stone Grey" were the most preferred on exterior facades.

Beige and grey most preferred on interior facades

According to the colour map, in 2021 non-tiring colours that convey calmness and tranquility were preferred more on interior facades. According to the colour map created from data obtained from Polisan Kansai Boya's over 5,000 sales points, the Marmara, Aegean and Mediterranean regions most preferred "Calm Grey". The Black Sea Region predominantly used "Marginal Grey", while Eastern Anatolia, Southeastern Anatolia and Central Anatolia chose "Beach Beige". Regarding the 2021 Turkey colour map, Cemal Drahor, General Manager of Polisan Kansai Boya, shared his views. Drahor said: "We are working to be pioneers of change and leaders in differentiated products that make a difference in the market. Our goal is to provide quality solutions with innovative, creative, high-performance products so that our consumers can achieve the living spaces they imagine. Close observation of consumer expectations and preferences is among our must-haves. Since 2014, we have been revealing Turkey's colour map and analysing the colour preferences of provinces and regions. In the 2021 colour map, as in 2020, beiges and greys are predominantly to the fore. In 2021, on interior facades, 'Beach Beige, Calm Grey and Marginal Grey' were the most demanded colours."
