Polimer Teknik Launches New Product Line for Scientific Applications
| Twin-screw extruder manufacturer Polimer Teknik, producing co-rotating designs, has launched a new product series to support scientific research. Designed as a laboratory line for R&D work as well as optimizing new product formulations in the plastics, chemicals, food and pharmaceuticals sectors, the poex T16 Scientific stands out as the smallest screw-diameter twin-screw extruder produced by Polimer Teknik. The line offers ease of use and high operational flexibility thanks to its modular design, which allows screw and shaft sets to be changed within minutes. According to a statement from Polimer Teknik, "In the new-generation compounding line, screw and barrel materials with sufficient durability are selected based on application conditions and materials to be processed. Additionally, depending on process conditions such as ultra-low-viscosity chemical reactive extrusion where extra sealing protection is required, seals resistant to high temperature and wear between barrels are used based on R&D findings. Depending on the process, degassing units for gas removal, side feeders, and melt pressure sensor mounting points can be produced as blind plugs. In lines where gravimetric dosing systems can optionally be integrated, fillers and minerals can be fed easily and with high precision." Lines of this scale have been predominantly imported from Germany, Taiwan and the United States, but Polimer Teknik now provides a domestic solution partner to Turkey's compounding sector. Additionally, drawing on years of experience, Polimer Teknik continues to support its customers on technical matters such as screw design and configuration suited to the material process to be worked on. |
