Pantone Announces Its Color of 2021

Pantone, the global colour authority and provider of professional colour language standards and digital solutions for the design community, announced today two independent Pantone® Colours of the Year: PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Grey and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating. According to Pantone's statement, these colours represent the two poles witnessed by the entire world in recent months. On one side, Ultimate Gray represents durability, strength and stability like rocks; on the other side, Illuminating represents brightness, optimism and softness like the sun. Selected with the help of scientific disciplines such as psychology, sociology and economics to reflect the spirit of the times, Illuminating (PANTONE 13-0647), as a soft tone of yellow, symbolises hope and happiness that exist despite everything and refers to all moments that smile in the darkness.
