OYAK Çimento Launches New Product: Novocem
New Product from OYAK Çimento: Novocem
OYAK Çimento, which continues to develop eco-friendly products to contribute to a sustainable world, has added 'Novocem' cement, produced with low carbon emissions, to its product range.
OYAK Çimento has added another product to its environmentally friendly lineup. The company recently brought Alfacem, the first 'CEM VI' class product to receive G-conformity certification in Turkey's cement sector, and 'KarBeyaz', which has low carbon content and high whiteness, to the market. Now it has produced 'Novocem'.
According to the announcement, the company's new product 'Novocem', one of Turkey's cement industry's capacity and market leaders, provides high resistance to environmental impacts where it is used.
Novocem stands out with its broad range of applications as a product with low carbon emissions, containing additives in the ratio of 36 to 50 percent by content.
The calcined clay produced by OYAK Çimento, which operates cement plants with the world's first calcined clay integration, is a binder with a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to Portland clinker, reaching rates of up to 90 percent lower.
Increased alternative fuel use to 25 percent level
OYAK Çimento, a member of OYAK Group Companies, exports its products to 85 countries, including the USA, Russia, Israel, Romania and Morocco. The company stands out with its projects reducing carbon emissions in production processes and final products, and has increased the use of alternative fuels in clinker production processes, the main source of carbon emissions, to the 25 percent level. While generating energy from waste heat and reducing indirect carbon emissions effects through solar energy projects, the company is leading the global cement sector with its low carbon footprint calcined clay technology. Within the scope of sustainability efforts, the company prioritizes the use of alternative fuels and raw materials in compliance with environmental legislation and administrative regulations, and reduces natural resource consumption through alternative raw material sources and industrial symbiosis while eliminating waste harmful to nature.Advertisement
