ODE Yalıtım Prioritizes Carbon Neutrality
The only insulation company holding Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certificates across all product groups and 16 product series, ODE Yalıtım earned the right to receive a Zero Waste Certificate for its Eskişehir facility last December and has now accelerated its efforts in line with its 'Zero Carbon Mission'. ODE Yalıtım calculated its corporate carbon footprint and determined its roadmap within its commitment to become carbon neutral by 2050.
Environmentally and Socially Responsible
ODE Yalıtım, one of the leading companies in the insulation sector in Turkey and in over 75 countries across six continents where it exports, continues its work that creates differentiation in the sector through environmentally and socially responsible production approaches.Providing Nature with the Care It Requires
ODE Yalıtım Marketing Director Ozan Turan, stating that they have produced environmentally and socially responsible products since their market entry, said: "We continue our operations with an energy management system based on continuous improvement, prioritizing energy efficiency both in production and in our products. Within the framework of our 'Zero Carbon Mission', we have set new targets in our production facilities, supply chain and products to reduce our emissions as much as possible. Within these targets, starting from the raw material source, we try to meet the care nature requires in all our necessary production processes, and we focus on nature-based solutions to remove carbon emissions from the atmosphere. Designing packaging that produces less greenhouse gas, reducing plastic packaging use; installing LED lighting systems to increase the energy efficiency of our facilities, expanding solar energy installations; reducing the carbon emissions of our supply chain, revising transportation routes and increasing green areas in our factory premises are among these solutions," he stated.Creating Added Value for Both Environment and Stakeholders
Turan, stating that they are conducting the main steps of the roadmap within PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), a systematic approach, continued as follows: "Through this end-to-end supply chain process, we will calculate the carbon emissions generated at each stage and implement projects to reduce them. With this program, we will not only benefit humanity and the environment, but also create economic value for our stakeholders."Advertisement
