Nexus Invests in the Circular Economy
Nexus Invests in Circular Economy
Nexus Surface Treatments has made a six-figure equipment investment over the past six months as part of growth plans committed to circular economy.
The investment, which includes a new crane, industrial oven and shot blasting cabinet, will enable the company to diversify its current success across different sectors and support the region's net zero targets.
Ronnie Watt, General Manager at Nexus Surface Treatments, said: "Our business is to protect the factors that drive our customers' operations in demanding environments. The circular economy plays an important role in our future plans, and our ability to reuse and recycle equipment means we can help other businesses achieve their own environmental targets." All new equipment installed within the past six months complies with all relevant health and safety regulations and includes a Street crane with a 7.5-tonne lifting capacity—a precision-engineered product manufactured at a state-of-the-art UK facility and installed by Red Rooster of Oldmeldrum—an industrial electric oven operating at temperatures up to 450 degrees Celsius and providing 30% more energy savings compared to the previous oven, and a new Hodge Clemco shot blasting cabinet offering greater energy efficiency with LED lighting and high-quality electric motors.
