Mipa Group Acquires WB Coatings

Mipa Group Acquires WB Coatings MIPA decided to continue the WB Coatings brand by taking over Warnecke & Böhm GmbH as of 1 January 2023. The product range and customer relationships of Warnecke & Böhm will be managed primarily by Feycolor GmbH, located in Regensburg, Germany, which is part of Mipa Group. Product manufacturing will be carried out in collaboration with Mipa production facilities depending on the product group. Markus Fritzsche, Chief Executive Officer of MIPA SE, stated: "The traditional WB Coatings brand will definitely be continued after the acquisition. Customers will be offered the existing product range and will continue to receive support from a specialist industrial coatings manufacturer in Bavaria." Marcus Preußner, Chief Executive Officer of WB Coatings, said: "The acquisition of Warnecke & Böhm GmbH by MIPA SE is a strategically important step for integrating the WB Coatings brand into Mipa Group. Additionally, our long-standing and highly successful cooperation with MIPA will ensure that this transition proceeds smoothly." He emphasized that the sale of the company to Mipa Group is the right move. Mipa Group was already manufacturing most of the products that Warnecke & Böhm distributed in Germany and neighbouring countries. Warnecke & Böhm's customers are predominantly industrial users in the fields of mechanical engineering and plant construction, medical technology, glass coating, audio technology and metal enclosures, as well as users employing specialized solutions for the automotive industry. For Mipa, the acquisition of WB Coatings means a broader customer base and product portfolio in the field of industrial coatings. This will enable successful integration with existing Mipa products.
