MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions Acquires Chemical Developer HSO Herbert Schmidt GmbH & Co. KG MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, a leading global manufacturer of chemical compounds used in surface finishing applications, has acquired HSO Herbert Schmidt GmbH & Co. KG, a specialized multinational technology developer for surface treatment. Founded in 1936, HSO specializes in plastic coating and sustainable coating technologies, developing and manufacturing highly specialized chemicals for the surface finishing industry. Headquartered in Solingen, Germany, HSO supplies its products to 29 countries. HSO's product range includes coating technologies for a wide variety of substrates, including plastics, aluminum alloys and various metals.
