Izocam Hosts Major Event

İzocam, inspired by nature and supporting natural solutions, organized a significant event on Istanbul's Bebek beach with the goal of leaving blue coastlines and a living sea for future generations. In cooperation with DenizTemiz Derneği/ TURMEPA and Aktif Balık Adamlar teams, volunteer İzocam employees conducted coastal and underwater cleanup for 3 hours, collecting 11 kilograms of waste in just 30 minutes. Inspired by nature at every step and supporting natural solutions, İzocam recently organized a significant event drawing attention to marine pollution. An 18-person volunteer team comprised of İzocam employees gathered on Istanbul's Bebek beach on 20 July 2022 to combat land-based marine pollution. The event, carried out in partnership with DenizTemiz Derneği/ TURMEPA and Aktif Balık Adamlar Spor Klubü Derneği, focused on coastal and underwater cleanup with the goal of leaving blue coastlines and a living sea for future generations. At the event, where İzocam Export Manager Onur Gören, who holds 3 Brevets and CMAS certification, conducted underwater cleanup, TURMEPA and Aktif Balık Adamlar Derneği supported the event with special content including awareness activities, training and games.

11 kilograms of waste collected in 30 minutes

Emphasizing that we must stop land-based marine pollution to leave blue coastlines and a living sea for future generations, İzocam Human Resources Director Gözdehan Çaycı stated: "As İzocam, we formed a volunteer team of colleagues to draw attention to this important issue. Within the scope of our coastal and underwater cleanup event held on Istanbul's Bebek beach, our team successfully collected 11 kilograms of paper, plastic, metal, glass and non-recyclable waste in just 30 minutes, completing the coastal and underwater cleanup through 3 hours of cooperation. A total of 35 kilograms of waste was removed from the sea and sent to recycling facilities. Our volunteer team, which came together with the goal of making the world a better place, is preparing to continue their work in the coming days with different activities."
