İzocam Gears Up to Boost Export Activities
İzocam Ready to Step Up Export Operations
İzocam will continue searching for new markets in 2022 to increase the share of exports in its turnover. The company will also centre its investments this year on R&D activities alongside sustainability and digitalisation efforts.
İzocam, with its healthy, safe and economical insulation products, is preferred in major projects both domestically and internationally. Preparing to make a push into export markets in 2022, İzocam is focusing on increasing the share of exports in its turnover while working on new investments. At the centre of İzocam's investments this year are sustainability and digitalisation efforts.
Closing 2021 with double-digit growth figures in both domestic and foreign markets and achieving growth nearly double its 2020 turnover, İzocam completed the year with TRY 1,200 million in sales revenue. With export volumes exceeding 800,000 m³, export revenues accounted for 20% of İzocam's turnover last year. İzocam General Director Murat Savcı, noting that the company conducted exports of insulation products used in buildings, industry and installations through 20 established dealers and 200 customers in markets where they exported in 2021, stated that they aim to increase the share of exports in their turnover to over 30% in the medium term.
Stating that the search for new markets will continue in 2022 in line with this target, Savcı said: "We are continuing our export operations without interruption, particularly in Turkic Republics, Africa, the Balkans, Asia and the Middle East abroad. İzocam is a preferred brand especially in the Middle East and the Balkans. We hold the position of the most important producer in the Middle East air conditioning market. This year too, we will continue to maintain this strong position with new products we will launch for air conditioning. In line with our goal of increasing the share of export revenues in our turnover, we will continue our search for new markets. While expanding our dealer network in the country markets where we currently operate, we will also grant new dealerships in countries we see as having potential. Particularly in recent years, our market search efforts in Central Africa will continue in 2022. In CIS countries, we are aiming to increase our promotional activities" he said.
Sustainability and Digitalisation at the Centre of Investments
In 2022, İzocam aims to maintain the level it has reached in occupational safety, environment, productivity and R&D, which were also priorities in 2021, while placing emphasis on sustainability, digitalisation and operational excellence investments. Emphasising that energy efficiency, R&D, sustainability and digitalisation are among the main agenda items, Murat Savcı stressed that they are particularly focused on developing products serving sustainability on the R&D side and new products with high sound absorption properties for acoustic control, and continued: "This year, while adding new products to our product range in line with our R&D efforts, we will continue to focus on meeting the expectations and demands of the project, customer and end user. We pay attention to developing products for special needs. Beyond production, we will work on producing rational solutions and developing user-friendly products in terms of efficient transportation of the product, easy handling, advantageous storage and easy application." he said. İzocam General Director Murat Savcı said that within the scope of sustainability, all their planning and work continues without interruption to achieve their medium and long-term targets. Noting that as İzocam they aim to reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by at least 33% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, Savcı stated, "Reducing our greenhouse gas emissions, limiting water consumption and wastewater generation, adapting alternative raw material sources to production processes and many projects that will contribute to the circular economy are being addressed in detailed programmes to comply with our 2030 and 2050 sustainability targets. We began implementing our investment plans within this framework as of 2021. With our EUR 2 million stack filter investment carried out at our Tarsus Facility, we aimed for air emission values at world standards and succeeded. With this investment that we put into operation in August 2021, we reached approximately one-third of the required limit value of 150 mg/Nm³. We are also working on the installation of solar panels and improving energy consumption within the framework of energy management programmes across all our factories. Our projects related to this matter will continue to increase in the coming years. Within this scope, we first drew up an investment plan until 2025. Thus our total investment amount will exceed EUR 4 million" he said. Explaining that they are planning new investments in the digitalisation area, which has been another focal point for the last 2 years, İzocam General Director Murat Savcı said: "We are particularly focused on Industry 4.0 projects that will make life easier for our field staff, increase traceability and take our productivity to the highest level. The 'Digitalisation Roadmap' that will serve both the industrial area and our customers and dealers is among our priority activities this year. At the same time, automation at our facilities is also one aspect of digitalisation. Together with automation, we plan to reduce our energy consumption. We aim to increase energy efficiency by using more efficient machine parts. Thus we will make investments that combine digitalisation with sustainability. On the production side, within the framework of our 3-year strategic planning efforts, both new line and machine investments as well as development activities aimed at capacity increases in our current production lines will continue as in previous years" he said.Advertisement
