Dyo Wins First Place in İAOSB R&D and Innovation Competition

The third edition of the competition launched in 2013 by İzmir Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone (İAOSB) and held every three years took place. DYO was named 2019 R&D champion. DYO won first place in the R&D and Innovation Competition with the project "Quality, Energy and Cost Improvement in Coil Paints". At the awards ceremony of the competition, which was attended by 18 companies, İAOSB Board Chairman Hilmi Uğurtaş stated that Turkish industry would not be able to compete in world markets with cheap labour and low-value-added products. Uğurtaş said: "Our industrialists are forced to import high-technology products and capital goods when making investments. Yet we need to produce this technology ourselves. If we solve the skilled labour problem and with the help of engineers who receive good vocational training, we will reach the desired targets in R&D."
