Evonik to Increase Coating Additives Capacity

Evonik's Coating Additives business line has taken another step to improve supply conditions by increasing production capacity for various critical additives. These additives are being produced in Shanghai for the first time. The additives belong to the TEGO® Glide and TEGO® Wet product groups. The significant capacity increase will provide reliable availability not only for Asian customers but also for coating manufacturers worldwide. Business line head Gaetano Blanda said, "This means higher supply security for all our customers globally and shorter delivery times for our Asian customers." Product characteristics and product quality are being adjusted to match those of products manufactured in Germany. The TEGO® Glide series comprises slip and flow additives that improve coating flow, leveling, and optical appearance.
