Starting as a water-dispersible solution, NALZIN® FA 180 transforms seamlessly during film drying into a water-insoluble, insoluble zinc compound. Designed for incorporation into various water-reducible paint systems, NALZIN® FA 180 is an organic zinc complex with low nitrite addition that can be readily incorporated into various applications including water-reducible alkyds, acrylics, epoxies and dispersion paints. A key feature is its ability to prevent rust formation, or flash rust, during the drying process of aqueous paint systems on iron-containing surfaces. NALZIN® FA 180 effectively solves this problem by ensuring surfaces remain rust-free during the drying stage. This product also provides long-term rust protection by creating an anionic passivated layer that prevents corrosion after film drying.
