Eastman Acquires Dalian Ai-Red Technology Eastman Chemical Company announced the acquisition of Ai-Red Technology (Dalian) Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and supplier of paint protection products as well as window film in the automotive and architectural markets in the Asia Pacific region. Erin Bernhardt, Vice President and General Manager of Performance Films for Eastman's Advanced Materials segment, stated: "This acquisition provides additional capacity to meet growing demand for our paint protection and window film products and creates additional capacity to scale innovation and product offerings across our existing operations. By adding this facility and team to Eastman's industry-leading team, technologies and brands, we expect to accelerate our aggressive growth strategy already underway in automotive and architectural aftermarket films." The acquisition demonstrates Eastman's commitment to growth in the protective films, paint protection products and window film industries. The investment increases the company's capacity to provide stable, high-quality value to specialty materials companies while also elevating service levels in China and the Asia Pacific region.
