DYO, the company behind the Learning is Worth It Project, created awareness about the importance of colour, space utilization, heat and light in human life and their effect on success, reaching more than 44,000 students between 2015 and 2019. The project, implemented in 114 schools across 15 cities, touched a broad stakeholder group that included teachers, administrators and parents alongside students. DYO, which aims to contribute to Turkey's education system through corporate social responsibility projects, conveyed the importance of 'colour, space utilization, heat and light' in human life through the Learning is Worth It theme under the Value for Tomorrow Project to a broad audience ranging from primary school students to parents, educators and administrators. Within the scope of the project, which began in 2015, training was provided to administrators, classroom teachers and school-family association members at schools where educational activities were carried out between 2015 and 2019, reaching an audience of 145,835 people. During this period, 44,471 students were reached across 114 schools in 15 provinces, supporting children's awareness of aesthetic values.

A Measurable and Open-to-Development Model

Learning is Worth It, a project by DYO, a leading company in the Turkish paint sector, aimed to create a scalable, measurable and open-to-development model; it was launched for primary school grades 2, 3 and 4 students. Within the scope of the project, presentations were prepared based on Visual Arts course learning outcomes prepared separately for primary school grades 2, 3 and 4. Through these presentations, project educators provided information to students according to their grade levels on space as a heading covering elements that make up space, colour as a heading covering primary and secondary colours, warm-cool colours, heat and lighting. To enable children to better understand the topics, educational presentations were supported with various in-class activities. Aiming to increase children's interest in science and art, DYO presented Techno Art Sets to children in 2019 through collaboration with GYA and Twin Robotics. With the materials in the set prepared to increase interest in science and art, children had the opportunity to conduct 4 different experiments. With the DYO Techno Art Set containing technological sets that would develop children's creativity and make them love science and colourful gouache paints, children participated in a fun activity where science met art while also having the opportunity to apply the knowledge they acquired in Learning is Worth It training on colour. DYO aims to support children's beautiful dreams about science and art related to what they might do in the future by presenting Techno Art Sets to 2,500 primary school students. To date, the project, supported by the Provincial Directorates of National Education of Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Gaziantep, Kocaeli, Samsun, Trabzon, Balıkesir, Denizli, Isparta, Mersin, Manisa, and the District Directorates of National Education of Ümraniye, Kadıköy and Kağıthane in Istanbul, Çankaya in Ankara, Çiğli and Bayraklı in Izmir, Kocasinan in Kayseri and Yakutiye in Erzurum, has reached teachers, administrators and parents alongside students.
