DYO Colors the Surroundings of Mistral İzmir and Ege Perla

DYO, Turkey's most established domestic paint manufacturer, has completed Turkey's longest mural artwork in collaboration with Mistral İzmir and Ege Perla as part of its "Mural Arts" projects, painting the Manda River retaining wall in İzmir with vibrant colors. DYO created a visual feast by painting a 400-metre-long wall between the Manda River in İzmir's Konak district and Mistral İzmir and Ege Perla. As part of the project, which is among Turkey's largest single-piece wall art works, 7 artists worked for 1 month to paint approximately 2,000 square metres of surface with DYO Teknotex Filled Primer, Akromax and Hidrolux products. DYO supported the project with 80 different color tones, with particular attention drawn to the DYO Akromax product used on the base and the custom blue base color developed specifically for this project. Upon completion, the wall was transformed into an aquarium-like environment. DYO Akromax, a semi-matte exterior paint resistant to sunlight, moisture and water, serves as a shield against color fading while showing low soiling tendency thanks to its special pure acrylic binder. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who visited the work site, met with the artists and congratulated them for their efforts, noting that an extremely beautiful and uplifting work had been produced.

Cities Gaining Color through DYO Mural Arts Projects

Through "Mural Arts" work initiated with the goal of adding color to living spaces and contributing to the city and urban culture, DYO supports street art and contributes to art gradually spreading throughout the city. In this context, DYO has previously undertaken similar projects with many local administrations. DYO, which brought color to the "Stairs in Color" and "Wall of Respect for Healthcare Workers" projects, contributed to the realization of the "Urban Art Events in Collective Cultural Transfer: The Case of Antakya" project.
