Diamond Vogel Opens New Innovation Center
Diamond Vogel held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of its Innovation Center.
The Innovation Center is the latest phase of Diamond Vogel's Building on Success initiative, which began in 2018 and encompasses various developments at the Orange City campus.
A 36,000 square-meter facility equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory and office spaces, the Innovation Center enables close to 60 research and development specialists to collaborate on improvements and developments across Diamond Vogel's broad paints and coatings portfolio.
In this initiative, Diamond Vogel partnered with CMBA Architects, an architecture firm based in Sioux City, Iowa, for project design. Hoogendoorn Construction, from Canton, South Dakota, was selected to oversee construction of the project. Union Bank from Lincoln, NE financed the project and partnered with Diamond Vogel as part of the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) High Quality Jobs Program.
Drew Vogel, Chairman of the Diamond Vogel Board of Directors, stated: "Our company's first research laboratory was the size of a cabinet. Now with the Innovation Center, we have a state-of-the-art facility that will support our research and development team in Orange City. We are grateful to have a facility suitable for the people working within it."
