Dalsan Alçı and Saint-Gobain Rigips Alçı Partner Up

Dalsan Alçı and Saint-Gobain Rigips Alçı, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain—one of the world's leading companies in sustainable and lightweight construction solutions—have combined their strengths. The partnership agreement signed between Dalsan Alçı and Saint-Gobain Rigips Alçı, a subsidiary of Saint-Gobain in Turkey, became official upon completion of the Competition Authority approval process. This partnership marks a significant foreign investment that will contribute to the Turkish economy in the construction sector. As work on the companies' merger proceeded, it was announced that both companies would continue their current legal entities, production and services as before. Upon completion of the work, the companies will merge under a single roof with a 50-50 partnership share and continue operations under the legal entity 'Dalsan Alçı Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.' Through this merger, the combined entity aims to produce approximately 100 million square meters of gypsum board across 5 facilities, over 2 million tonnes of packaged or silo-transportable building materials, and over 50 million meters of drywall system profiles. The new structure will enable both companies to offer innovative, sustainable and lightweight construction solutions to their customers by leveraging the knowledge, experience and growing gypsum and gypsum board capacities of each company. These solutions will address growing domestic demand while simultaneously increasing sector exports and adding value to the national economy.
